BasicPlus model

Basic insurance based on a doctors' network

BasicPlus is a cost-effective alternative to standard insurance. It provides access to a network of general practitioners in a number of cantons. You choose a doctor from the BasicPlus list and consult this doctor first in all medical matters.

PRINCIPLES
  • When signing up to the insurance, I choose a general practitioner among the doctors on the BasicPlus list of my canton of residence.
  • I consult this doctor first in all medical matters (except in an emergency or in cases specified in the terms and conditions of insurance).
  • This doctor will provide medical care or refer me to the relevant specialist or medical facilities.
COMMENTS
  • I can sign up to the BasicPlus model only if I live in one of the following cantons: Aargau, Appenzell, Basel (BS and BL), Bern, Graubünden, Lucerne, Neuchâtel, Solothurn, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, St. Gallen, Thurgau, Uri, Vaud, Zug and Zurich.
  • The available health networks can be found in Documents for download
