Basic insurance with telephone advice

SanaTel is a cost-effective alternative to standard insurance. Within this model, you must first call our partner medical hotline before seeking medical treatment.

PRINCIPLES
  • I call Medi24 first to the freephone number 0800 726 283 (except in an emergency or in cases specified in the terms and conditions of insurance).
  • I take note of the advice given by Medi24.
  • At the end of the conversation, I remain free to choose the medical treatment.
COMMENTS
  • It is imperative that I call Medi24 before seeking medical treatment. I can then consult the doctor of my choice.
DEDUCTIBLES

Available Deductibles

The ordinary deductible is CHF 300 for adults and CHF 0 for children.
I can reduce my premium by increasing my deductible.

Your most frequently asked questions

Yes. If this was just an oversight, there will be no consequences on your refunds.
However, if you repeatedly forget to contact the Medi24 call centre, we reserve the right to transfer you to the ordinary basic health insurance (standard model).

You have a postal account:
Complete and send us the “Direct Debit” form , by which you authorise us to debit directly your postal account for the various amounts due to us.
You have a bank account:
Complete our online form and we will send you an LSV form. Please return it to us duly certified by your bank.
We will not be able to change the method of collection of future invoices until we have received your authorisation. In the meantime, you may still receive invoices. If this is the case, please pay them as before.

You may change your general practitioner once a year.
Just send us the name of your new doctor by mail or email (clients@groupemutuel.ch). The general practitioner must appear on the list of doctors approved by your network (exception: in the PrimaCare model, there is no list of doctors).

In accordance with Article 3 of the Swiss Federal Health Insurance Law (LAMal/KVG), any person residing in Switzerland is obliged to take out health insurance within three months of birth or taking up residence in Switzerland. If a person does not sign up for insurance, the cantonal or communal authorities will register that person automatically.
