Groupe Mutuel does not limit itself to its role as a health insurer. For several years now, it has been committed to major social causes, particularly through its Foundation, which was created in 2018. The Foundation supports not-for-profit projects throughout Switzerland, with a particular focus on prevention, health and well-being for children and senior citizens.

To this end, Fondation Groupe Mutuel is renewing its partnership with the Cœur à Cœur campaign in 2025, an iconic solidarity initiative led by Swiss Radio and Television (RTS) and Swiss Solidarity (“Chaîne du Bonheur”) to combat violence against children.

Cœur à Cœur: 10 years of campaigning against violence against children

From 13 to 19 December 2025, the Cœur à Cœur campaign will be back to mark the programme's 10th anniversary. This national campaign aims to raise public awareness of violence against children and to raise funds to sponsor projects providing protection and support not only in Switzerland, but also in regions of the world most affected by conflict and poverty.

Every year, between 30,000 and 50,000 children are taken into care by child protection services in Switzerland for cases of physical or sexual abuse and neglect. These figures represent only the tip of the iceberg, as many cases unfortunately go unreported.

Tour 2025

Once again this year, the Cœur à Cœur caravan will stop at seven Christmas markets in French-speaking Switzerland:

  • Gruyères (FR): Saturday 13 December 2025
  • Carouge (GE): Sunday 14 December 2025
  • Sion (VS): Monday 15 December 2025
  • La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE): Tuesday 16 December 2025
  • Porrentruy (JU): Wednesday 17 December 2025
  • Bienne (BE): Thursday 18 December 2025
  • Yverdon-les-Bains (VD): Friday 19 December 2025

Fondation Groupe Mutuel, a major partner in the campaign

As the main partner of Cœur à Cœur, Fondation Groupe Mutuel plays a central role in the success of this campaign. Its commitment is reflected in a series of specific actions, both internally and in the general public, to engage its employees, insured persons and the general public.

Groupe Mutuel's flagship actions:

  • Internal involvement: Groupe Mutuel employees will have the opportunity to purchase biscuits at service centres. All donations will be transferred to the cause.
  • Collection in agencies: policyholders visiting one of our agencies will have the opportunity to sample some treats and will be encouraged to make donations directly to the campaign.
  • Top -level commitment: Thomas Boyer, CEO, and Cédric Scheiben, Head of Sales, will be on hand on 17 and 18 December to take donations via the Swiss Solidarity telephone switchboard.
  • Groupe Mutuel will be physically present on the evening of 19 December at the closing ceremony of the Yverdon-les-Bains Christmas market. It will hand over a cheque from Fondation Groupe Mutuel representing all the donations collected.

A national awareness -raising campaign

For the past two years, the support of the Fondation Groupe Mutuel has also extended to German-speaking Switzerland. By supporting the solidarity week broadcast on the Swiss-German national TV and Radio channel SRF, the scope of the awareness campaign against child abuse is even greater. Last year, the campaign raised more than CHF 5.3 million, which was donated to Swiss Solidarity to fund projects in Switzerland and around the world. Fondation Groupe Mutuel contributed CHF 27,000.

Why is this commitment so important?

Child abuse is a silent but widespread danger. In Switzerland, 45% of child victims are under the age of 6, and 18% are infants. The consequences of this violence are profound: psychological disorders, difficulties at school, and social isolation, not to mention lifelong consequences.

By sponsoring Cœur à Cœur, Fondation Groupe Mutuel is taking concrete action to:

  • Give a voice to child victims of violence
  • Support associations working in the field
  • Promote prevention and education
  • Create a momentum of national solidarity

How to contribute to Cœur à Cœur in 2025

To get involved in helping children, you can:

  • Make a donation on the website of Swiss Solidarity
  • Take part in the Christmas market events mentioned above
  • Organise a fundraiser: cake sale, sports challenge, etc.
  • Share the campaign messages on your social media

Fondation Groupe Mutuel shows that a healthcare provider can also be a driving force for solidarity. By partnering with Cœur à Cœur, it is helping to advance an essential cause: the protection of children.

Together, let's make their voices heard.
