Reconciling work and private life is no longer just a “nice-to-have”: it is now a strong expectation among employees. Remote work, flexibility, part-time options, support from managers, and taking family realities into account all directly contribute to well-being at work and employee engagement.

It is within this context that Groupe Mutuel has been awarded the Pro Familia Switzerland “family-friendly company” label for the next three years. This recognition highlights the efforts made to promote a flexible, human, and supportive work environment adapted to the different stages of life. With a score of 79 points out of 100 (the Swiss average is 62), Groupe Mutuel achieved an excellent result. With 1,360 respondents, the survey provides a representative overview of employees’ perceptions.

Among the most highly recognised strengths are:

  • flexible working hours
  • remote working opportunities
  • access to part-time work
  • compensation for overtime
  • as well as the consideration given to employees’ family circumstances by teams and managers.
The results also show a strong sense of belonging and a high level of motivation within the company.

Three questions to Pro Familia Switzerland

What does the Pro Familia label represent in concrete terms?

The label recognises companies that implement concrete measures to facilitate a work-life balance. It is based on the actual experiences of employees and assesses, in particular, work flexibility, organisation, managerial support and corporate culture.

What sets Groupe Mutuel apart in the results obtained?

Groupe Mutuel has achieved results above the Swiss average in all three dimensions evaluated: the range of services offered, the fulfilment of employees’ needs, and the extent to which the ideal situation desired by employees is met. Measures related to flexibility and remote work stand out particularly positively, as does the support from teams and managers.

Why is this type of approach important today?

Employees’ expectations are evolving rapidly. Companies that take family and personal circumstances into account not only enhance well-being at work, but also boost engagement, attractiveness and talent retention.

Other strong commitments

Friendly Work Space

Groupe Mutuel has also been certified Friendly Work Space since 2023, a label that rewards companies committed to workplace health management and the long-term well-being of their employees.

We Pay Fair

The We Pay Fair label certifies that Groupe Mutuel applies a fair salary policy between women and men, verified according to a methodology recognised across Switzerland. The company obtained this certification in 2022.
