Groupe Mutuel’s CorporateCare team brings together a wide range of expertise, which it applies with great dedication to developing tailored solutions for companies of all sizes and specialisations, with the aim of fostering a healthy and sustainable working environment.
This was precisely the case for the canton of Aargau.
Groupe Mutuel’s CorporateCare programme enables organisations to optimise their structures in order to improve employee health and performance, reduce absenteeism and ensure the best possible preparation for a return to work.
The range of services offered is broad and particularly valuable for SMEs with limited internal resources. It is structured around two main areas:
- HumanCare, i.e. comprehensive absence management and support for employee reintegration.
- In-depth analysis, consulting and support for corporate health management (CHM) measures that are tailored to a company’s needs and resources.
While a systematic and effective approach is essential in both these areas, CHM requires a solid understanding of the specific situation within each organisation in order to develop personalised and tailored measures. This is the only way to ensure the long‑term promotion of employees’ physical and mental health.
“Personalised health check-ups provide employees with particularly valuable insights and can generate lasting effects”:

Joy Marxer, a CorporateCare specialist at Groupe Mutuel, is convinced that a sustainably effective CHM programme has the greatest chance of success when employees derive a direct benefit that is tailored to their personal needs. Based on her experience, initiatives such as “Health Days” – where information is provided and simple health check-ups are offered – are particularly effective.
And what is the feedback from clients? The expertise of the corporate health specialist is particularly valued by Adrian Reber. As Head of Corporate Health Management (CHM) for the canton of Aargau, he is responsible for 5,600 cantonal employees spread across more than a hundred professions and 40 locations. As a result, the demands placed on Adrian Reber and his team are extremely diverse.
“Our expectations were fully met.”
Adrian Reber, Head of Corporate Health Management (CHM) for the canton of Aargau.
Adrian Reber, CHM has been firmly established in the canton of Aargau for years now. What are the main challenges?
Administrative staff work in a wide variety of environments, ranging from office workplaces to branch offices and social services, right through to technical departments. This diversity reflects the wide range of tasks within the canton of Aargau, but for CHM it means that measures must be targeted and practical, depending on roles and location. Each role brings its own health‑related challenges: psychological strain due to complex tasks, time pressure and high expectations, as well as physical strain caused by heavy workloads, long working hours and lack of movement. Team interaction also varies, making it all the more important to actively promote communication and cohesion.
You introduced health check-ups with the support of Groupe Mutuel’s CorporateCare team. Why did you choose this measure?
With these individual health check-ups, our aim was to offer personalised prevention. Through various CHM initiatives, we identified a clear need among employees for individual recommendations. Interest in all three health checks – stress, back health and body constitution – was huge; all slots were fully booked within a few hours.
How do you look back on your collaboration with Groupe Mutuel?
We are very satisfied with the collaboration; our expectations were fully met. We particularly appreciated how straightforward and professional the support was. The short, regular exchanges with Groupe Mutuel ensured smooth communication and seamless planning.
What will be the future priorities for CHM?
Over the next few years, CHM will focus on personalised programmes and, more generally, on mental health. At the same time, we will continue to offer tried-and-tested initiatives, such as the running event Hallwilerseelauf, active lunch breaks, with activities like yoga, and seminars on health-related topics. When defining priorities, CHM draws on employee survey feedback as well as internal metrics.
