Yes. Computerised payments are processed at the end of every week. The corresponding amounts reach the bank or postal account of the insured person a few days later. The accompanying statements are placed in an envelope at the beginning of the week and sent by second class mail to limit administrative costs. It is therefore normal that refund statements reach insured persons later.
Upon receiving a healthcare invoice, the insured person is entitled to the refund of benefits during five years for compulsory health insurance (LAMal/KVG) and two years for supplemental insurance (LCA/VVG). After these deadlines, the entitlement to benefits expires.
