Reimbursement 100 million

A total of 780,566 insured persons are concerned by the refund. These people were already insured for basic health insurance at Groupe Mutuel until 31 December  2019. They have paid all their premiums and co-sharing amounts, have their residence in one of the cantons concerned and are insured to one of those insurers participating.

The reimbursement amount is calculated on the basis of your canton of residence and the Groupe Mutuel insurer to which you are insured. This amount will be communicated to you in a second letter, which will be sent to you at the beginning of November.

Yes, provided that you were insured with Groupe Mutuel for basic health insurance until 31 December 2019 and that you have paid all amounts due by that date.

For insured persons who have provided us with a valid bank or postal account number, the amount will be paid directly into the account. If we do not have any valid bank or postal account details, reimbursement will be made in the following manner:

  • if CHF 15 and more to be paid for a single insured person or the family: payment with a BPR cheque with charges;
  • if less than CHF 15: deduction on premiums/cost-sharing amounts outstanding in 2020 or 2021. For persons who have terminated their basic insurance as at 31.12.2019, reimbursement will be made with a BPR cheque.

If you have an ongoing debt recovery procedure, the refunded amount will be deducted from the debt recovery procedure. We will inform the debt recovery office directly, which will inform you of the amount still to be paid.
